If you are on an International Yacht or on a returning Australian Yacht and are planning to come to Australia in 2013, you will need to follow the rules laid down by the Australian Government. Please insure that you are familiar with these rules. Any information provided here is courtesy of the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht Club.

All care has been taken to ensure this information is up-to-date but the BCYC cannot be held responsible if for some reason the information is now outdated. We have listed herewith the links to the various Government Departments for your convenience.

The following information although applying to arrival in the Port of Bundaberg, is relevent to all other entry ports in Queensland.

This is what is required before your departure from your last port prior to arriving in Australia:

1. Notify Australian Customs that you are coming. Australian Customs require a minimum of 96 hours notice. Ensure all members of your crew have been included in that arrival notification.Let them know you are coming.

Small Craft Arrival Form - to be completed before arrival and handed to Australian Customs.

2. Ensure all non-Australians citizens on board have a current visa in place. The easiest and quickest way to get this is online.

3. If you have any animals on-board, you should notify DAFF (formerly Australian Quarantine) well before your departure from your last port as certain requirements must be met. Further information can be found on the DAFF website

Severe penalties may apply for failure to meet any of these requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure the information given is correct and up-to-date.
