Port2Port 2012 Yacht Rally

The Port2Port Yacht Rally has undergone some changes from our previous highly successful rallies of past years. In our efforts to encourage more boats to Bundaberg as their first Port of Entry, the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht is offering to pay the AQIS arrival fees currently at $330 (conditions apply).

Eligible Rally Entrants: Open to all skippers & crews of International & Australian yachts.

Departure Ports: From any port in the Pacific

Arrival Dates to receive refund of fees: 

Cost of Entry: $200 per yacht to be paid before 1st October*.

Radio schedules: Daily at 0615 hours (AEST) during October and November, 2012

Conditions apply for receiving a refund of your AQIS fees from the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht Club:

  1. The yacht must register for the Port2Port Yacht Rally.
  2. Payment for registration must be received before the first of October.
  3. No AQIS overtime charges for Saturday, Sunday or after hours will be refunded.
  4. You must receive an acknowledgement of your registration and receipt of your registration fees from the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht Club.
  5. By registering for this rally, all partipating yachts agree that they will not hold the BCYC, or the P2P Committee, or any other organisation involved with the rally, responsible for anything that may go wrong as a result of sailing in this rally.  All yachts must ensure that by sailing in the rally, that the safety of their boat and crew must take priority. BCYC takes no responsibility for information provided by the Radio Operator, or any member of BCYC that could be incorrect or cause you, any member of your crew or your boat to suffer any loss whatsoever.

Benefits of registering with the Port2Port Yacht Rally (for $200) as a participating entrant.
What you will receive for your money:-

  1. BCYC will pay your AQIS entry fees (read conditions above)
  2. Daily radio schedules during October and November for position reports.
  3. Guarantee of notification of impending arrival to Australian Customs and Quarantine
  4. Support for your entry and advice regarding any issues that you may have concerning your entry requirements
  5. Met on arrival by BCYC ambassador
  6. 2 Tickets to "End of Passage Dinner" to be held (TBA)
  7. 2 P2P Tee shirts
  8. BCYC/P2P Burgee
  9. Honorary membership of the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht Club
  10. Invitation to join in activities – golf days, turtle watching, socializing, pot luck dinners, movies, bilge sale, cruising seminars, Marine Safety talks, etc.
  11. Other freebies
  12. Friday Nights - happy hour on the lawn at the Bundaberg Port Marina.
